Crazy Life

Well things have been so crazy the last week or two I feel like I have been in a whirlwind! As you can see from the pics we got to go to the Jazz vs. Lakers game cause Evan entered a contest to win a 42 inch flat panel HDTV and he won, so he got to go down on the court during a timeout and accept his prize, so it is nice to have a new TV in the room. Plus I can't believe I was that close to Kobe Bryant. I also was spoiled for Valentines Day (which I thought Vegas was our presant) but I was able to go and pick out a new bedroom set and also got a new digital camera so I am so excited since my other camera is about 5 years old and it is a sad day when your cell phone takes better pics then your camera! On a down note we have been battling RSV for the last week I feel so bad for spencer he has been so miserable but I think we are on the mend. I hope everyone had a great Valentines Day!

Vegas

Well after almost 7 years of marriage with the occasional vacation to the sand dunes and maybe snowmobiling here and there I decided it was time for Evan and I to take a real vacation. So with the help of a friend I booked some round trip air and a few nights hotel and decided to surprise Evan (he is or I should say was a Vegas virgin). Although I surprised him with the trip it was I who was truly surprised. Some of you that know Evan knows that he is not one to spend money freely and would rather save it for something that he really wants so I was prepared to be on somewhat of a budget and make sure that we didn't spend to much money but boy was I wrong. The first night that we were there Evan graciously gave into me and took me to see The Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian (Holy Cow!) I have wanted to see that my whole entire life and I could've went home the next day totally satisfied it was amazing and a very unforgettable experience! After that I felt as though I was totally at his mercy and owed him big time the next night so I was prepared to do whatever he wanted entertainment wise and to my surprise he want to go and see Zumanity by Cirqu Du Solei so I once again couldn't complain it was a cool show and defiently worth the experience. Evan was so good to me all weekend and spoiled the crap out of me from a new outfit to wear to Zumainty, some fun shopping at Fredricks of Hollywood and a fabulous dinner at Cheesecake Factory! I had an amazing weekend and would like to tell Evan THANKS for being so great I hope he enjoyed it as much as I did!

All about Mom

Well I havn't updated on my mom for a while so I thought I would let everyone know what is going on! She has been off of the ventialtor for 7 days now! Yeah for my mom she is working really hard! Once she has lasted for 7 to 10 days with just a trach mask (which is what she has now) we can move on to a speaking valve for 7 to 10days, then once past that they will cap the trach for an additional 7 to 10 days and as long as she handles that they will go ahead and take everything out and let her start healing up! Man this has been a long time coming and as you can see we still have a little ways to go! But she is doing wonderful and hopefully we can start focusing alot more on the physical therapy portion of her recovery and then we can get her back home! Just want to give a quick shout out to let everyone know how wonderful my dad has been through this whole experience, he has defiently been the rock of the family and has done so much and spent so much time staying on top of everything that is going on with my mom! He is wonderful and has provided a wonderful example of how I want to mold my relationship with my husband! Thanks Dad!
